Hilda M. Cano, 61, of Providence passed away on Tuesday, February 13,2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Leonzo F Sic and they had been married for the past 38 years.

Born in Uspantan, Guatemala she was the daughter of Jova Herrera De Cano and the late Salvador Cano. Hilda migrated to United States in 1988 and resided in Central Falls, RI with her husband for 25 years and then moved to Providence for the past 11 years of her life. Hilda was formally employed by Precision Coating for 26 years.

She leaves behind her children Luis F Sic and his wife Linda Guzman, her daughter Wendy P Craveiro and her husband Joe L. Craveiro. Her granddaughter Natalia P. Craveiro and soon to be second grandchild. Her sisters Rogelia Cano, Amparo and her husband Jose Gonzalez, her brothers Luis Cano and his wife Iris Cano, William Cano and his wife Lisa Cano, Salvador Cano and his wife Liset Cano, her late brother Pablo Cano. As well as several nieces, nephews, sister in laws, brother in laws and cousins.
Hilda loved spending time with her family, especially traveling to Guatemala and spending time with her mother and family. She loved to buy flowers and plant them in front of her house and spend time outside with her husband and granddaughter.

Hilda’s family would like to thank Hilda’s sisters in law Angelica and Brenda for the care and love they gave her. Her family would like to also thank Hope Hospice staff for the care they provided.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19th 2024 from 5pm-7pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 20th directly at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket at 10:30am. Donations may be made in her memory to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation (joeandruzzifoundation.org) or to the Pink Heels Association (ripinktrucks.com).
